Amazing food, amazing staff, and clean environment. Mexican Food is the best in the area and very fairly priced.
Pretty good Mexican food for a place that's out in the middle of nowhere, so far off to the east of Brooklyn. Food here is surprisingly great! Just the perfect amount of spices. Not too salty like a lot of other Mexican restaurants. I tried the shrimp burrito. Packed with a generous amount of ingredients. Shrimp were big and fresh. Rice and beans were tender and flavorful. It comes with a side of fresh salad: cucumber, tomato, corn, avocado, shredded carrots and onion. And your choice of dressings. Each table is given complimentary salsa and chips. Fresh and bright with a nice kick. Service. Super nice and helpful. Seating: A moderate amount of seating is available. Clean and spacious enough to be comfortable. Decorated with a normal Mexican flair. Final note: If I could, I'd get food from here at least once a week.
BLUF: Good flavors, execution, and customer service. Antojitos Acatlán replaces Espiga Restaurant at the same address, keeping the former establishment's phone number. It feels like Antojitos Acatlán is under the radar, but our first impression is that this restaurant is better than its nearby competitor. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to get take-out: - Mole Poblano: $14.99. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone, but slightly overcooked. The mole had a medium complexity. - Shrimp Burrito: $13. Fresh, balanced flavors. - Mexican Coca-Cola: $2.50 for a glass bottle. I liked that the food wasn't over-salted -- i.e., this is an ideal place to take parents and grandparents. We will definitely return to try other dishes.
